Summer’s Over (Boo Hoo)

After church on Sunday a couple dozen of us went up to Camp UTABA for our end of summer pot luck (Thanks Barbara for putting it together and thanks Elaine for the birthday cake). We missed you if you weren’t there. One major reminder that comes every year with the Potluck is that on the following Sunday we go back to our regular schedule. (Sunday school at 9:45, and worship at 11:00 am)

Since the kids are back in school, it starts getting dark earlier, and many evenings it’s pretty chilly, we also end up  Prayze Dogs for the season. Tonight we’ll fire up the grill, and that will be the last time until next Spring.

Once Prayze Dogs are finished, we go back to our regular Tuesday evening Bible study schedule. Starting next Tuesday (Sept 20) at 6:30 Steve will be starting a study of Isaiah

And the Men’s Group and Women’s Group, both of which have been taking a break over the sweltering summer months will be starting up again. Both groups will meet this Saturday. The Men meet at Dale’s house at 8:00 am, and after breakfast hopefully some of you will have time to stop by the church to help install some monitors ad A/V equipment in the sanctuary.  The Women will be meeting at the church at 11:00 am  (Both groups typically meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month. In October the groups will meet together for Fall Cleaning).

Thanks again to all those who helped with the rummage sales and outreach events over the summer. We got to talk to a lot of people about Jesus and about church. And a lot of people got some killer deals at the sales, proving once again that one person’s trash is another’s treasure.
