Scarves, Carols, and a Christmas Project

What a surprise to open the paper this morning and see Wayne Feller’s smiling face in the ‘Opinion’ section. The editorial highlighted our recent scarf project which provided warmth for lots of people right before the cold spell hit.  If you don’t get the paper, you can read it here

We had a really good “fall semester” with our Tuesday evening Bible Study, and finished it off last week with a fellowship meal (Lots of things in the Bible happened at the table). Tonight we’re planning on gathering for a carol singalong. We have plenty of books with the words, and you’re all invited to join us at 6:30,  as we worship God by lifting our voices in song (or at least, as in my case, making a ‘joyful noise to the Lord’). Come celebrate Christmas with the sounds of the season.  Did someone say cookies? Christmas carols, hot chocolate and cookies sounds like a great way to spend the evening in the company of friends…

Saturday the 19th, the women will meet at the church at 11:00 am. It’s a Christmas pot-luck with a ‘white elephant’ gift exchange. If you haven’t already brought things in, remember that the 2015 Christmas project is collecting feminine hygiene products for the YCC.
